Didn’t have a chance to take any tank pics as I’m waiting for my wife at the hospital while she has a procedure done, but everything that went in yesterday looking good. Including the hammer that got some abuse in shipping.
I’m just a bit POed at my one clown that’s decided the frogspawns are once again its playground

So far I've read a handful of people who tied frag tanks into their system and had the same issue. I did an ICP for craps and gigs, tin came back high. Saw your post in an old thread, thought I'd ask. Starting to see some adverse effects. Freaking out a little. Did 2 20% yesterday going to do a 40% today. Running carbon and have cupisorb coming tomorrow.

Appreciate it though.
Hang in there- I had a tin issue that I attributed to my return pump- anecdotally I’d say check submerged eqp- I doubt the rusted light above the water is the cause. Cuprisorb will def help; metasorb (tlf) is another option. Hopefully you’re testing both the rodi & tank water with ICP as it will show whether it’s in the water you’re using to wc. @billyocean (as usual) is spot on re: carbon & trace elements.

Good luck.

Totally off subject but who here in the northeast area felt that earthquake an hour ago centered in the NY state area? Here in Boston I had some swaying furniture.
I felt it. A few things started rattling and the dogs started barking. I thought a big piece of farm equipment went up the road at first.

No it's under a cabinet in my main room. I don't have any mechanical components under the rank, and I have a divider between electronics and sump. There's no good explanation as the environment has been static, with the exception of the frag tank tie in.

Rust is almost ruled out because zinc, iron and other heavy metals were 0. Molybdenum was elevated. I initially attributed it to OD on trace. I didn't realize how high 45ug tin was, and that was over a week ago when I did ICP, so if it's still contaminating my system god only knows where it's at. If it's in RO somehow I am absolutely screwed.

Just replaced 2 CTO blocks, 2 sediment filters, 2 filmtec membranes, added a 2nd stage of DI. Cooking up 50 gals for 40-50% change, did 2 25% yesterday. Haven't even tested parameters because it's mostly all in on removing tin or bust.
I know it's an extra cost, but I personally think testing your source water would be helpful. If it's in there, there's a chance it would be making it through. You could test your fresh RO water. The question would be since you just changed the filters, will it stop it for awhile.

Maybe start at the source, if it's high test the RO.

I definitely underestimated how quick things can go south when making a change.

Yeah, we'll see. I already went with triton again so itll have to be the tank. First order is see if any of my corrective actions have reduced tin so I at least have a course of action until I stabilize. It's looking really grim right now.

OQuite a few posts about this 3/4" vinyl tubing from amazon and similar results. I used about 3 7ft runs for the frag tank, plus the return line. I have food grade silicone coming in tmrw.

Now I have. Similar suggestions as the more recent threads. I pulled the fuge light. Hinges aren't in bad shape at all, may throw some jelly on em but they only have oxidation stains at best. No pitting nor flaking.

It's unique to the new tank addition IMO, im leaning towards fuge light or vinyl lines still.

So I bought an extra Kessil circular mount to have on hand just in case I ever need to add an extra a360x. Never had to use it until now when I got it out to add an extra kessil. It doesn't fit as the diameter a little bit small small at 4". I went on brs site, and they apparently have a 4.3" which fits. I chatted and they said they can't exchange since it's 3 years. So I had to buy another one, but they did credit my account for the shipping

That’s a bummer. Did the light make it ok?

yes. Now I have to wait until next week to get the right one. Didn't know their exchange is 365 days
Sounds like your luck was about like mine. I went to get the “advertised” Kessil a160 only to find it was actually an a150. Ended up putting an AI Prime 16HD on the frag tank for now.

I’ll swap it to a Kessil A160 some other time
