Fortunately this entire shipment of SBB has been 100%. Even if something goes up at this point I can't even think of DOA policy, my **** is F'd.

That su cks. You don't have it where there's a garage door that opens and closes do you?People report success, others don't. The biggest issue is finding root cause.
I'm pretty sure this frag tank was float glass, but it was used. I used Amazon braided nylon and PVC.
Whats really crazy is my buddy a few miles away did ATI. Had 6ug tin after DI and in tank. We had a massive watermain break, maybe it's the solder/welding from that. I have no idea at this point, tin shouldn't be in tap. He runs his tank alot different than mine, dosing/feeding/etc. Almost no commonality.
I'm watching some pieces melt, TSA day dream went up, a 2 year dormant jf fox flame, dippin dots looks like absolute crap. Bugs bunny. I'm just waiting for the first big colony at this point. In the midst of a legit crash right now.
Checked all magnets, do have some rusty screws on fuge light, most likely culprit right now. Vacuumed sump, checked for rogue metal or missing screws above the tank. Could be jebao wave maker in sump, frag tank, or jebao return pump those are all new equipment. Checked my utility pump for water transfer, in mostly good shape and doesn't sit in water. My nitrate is industrial grade but marketed 99%, I can't find anything indicating tin as a potential contaminants in sodium nitratem
Frag tank addition has been a total epic disaster. Hoping to hit water changes hard and pray its enough to salvage, worst part is I won't know for 2 weeks how much more is going to die, in addition to all the swings resulting from drastic measures. Rough.
No it's under a cabinet in my main room. I don't have any mechanical components under the rank, and I have a divider between electronics and sump. There's no good explanation as the environment has been static, with the exception of the frag tank tie in.That su cks. You don't have it where there's a garage door that opens and closes do you?
If you need membranes, sediment filters, or carbon block, let me know. I have 25 packs of eachNo it's under a cabinet in my main room. Rust is almost ruled out because zinc, iron and other heavy metals were 0. Molybdenum was elevated. I initially attributed it to OD on trace. I didn't realize how high 45ug tin was, and that was over a week ago when I did ICP, so if it's still contaminating my system god only knows where it's at. If it's in RO somehow I am absolutely screwed.
Just replaced 2 CTO blocks, 2 sediment filters, 2 filmtec membranes, added a 2nd stage of DI. Cooking up 50 gals for 40-50% change, did 2 25% yesterday. Haven't even tested parameters because it's mostly all in on removing tin or bust.
Appreciate it, I had bought 4 packs of everything and membranes a couple weeks ago as I had a bug to rearrange. Refresh, and add cation/anion/mixed bed vs just mixed bed. Cupisorb, triton, and new fuge light come in tmrw. May run up to LFS to see if they have cupisorb on lunch break. Also setup GAC in reactor for a last ditched effort to assist even if unlikely. If you need membranes, sediment filters, or carbon block, let me know. I have 25 packs of each
Wc is the most effective way to get it down. If it's leeching it will rise again but wc againAppreciate it, I had bought 4 packs of everything and membranes a couple weeks ago as I had a bug to rearrange. Sorry to hear this. Many of us can relate, so many rough patches in this hobby.People report success, others don't. The biggest issue is finding root cause.

Why? Do you think exhaust causes issues? Or were you thinking stuff falling into the tank. That su cks. You don't have it where there's a garage door that opens and closes do you?
How about rusty cabinet hinges? Could be that Amazon pvc/tubing. Where was that made?No it's under a cabinet in my main room. I've seen garage doors being opened and closed from the track or springs causing high tin. I thought he mentioned something about a garage at some point but maybe that was someone elseWhy? Do you think exhaust causes issues? Or were you thinking stuff falling into the tank.
Oh, I hadn't heard or thought of that. Interesting. I run carbon on my system because I have a small tank with too many coral types, including leathers and btas which also engages in allopathy.Be ready with some trace additions as running both carbon and cuprisorb will strip the water of several elements in addition to tin
I was following a thread about a garage sump and had mentioned it recently. I'm still on the fence about it.I've seen garage doors being opened and closed from the track or springs causing high tin. I thought he mentioned something about a garage at some point but maybe that was someone else
Run it light and or passively and you should be fine. But running full dose of Rox .08 (and in a reactor) can also strip trace elements. I try to run carbon a couple days before water change and then take it out.Oh, I hadn't heard or thought of that. Interesting. Yeah, mine is passive. Rox .08 in a media bag.Run it light and or passively and you should be fine. But running full dose of Rox .08 (and in a reactor) can also strip trace elements. I try to run carbon a couple days before water change and then take it out.
Wishing you and your wife the best at the hospital. As to your other comment, earthquakes in the north east? I thought California had the patent on those.Didn’t have a chance to take any tank pics as I’m waiting for my wife at the hospital while she has a procedure done, but everything that went in yesterday looking good. Including the hammer that got some abuse in shipping.
That’s exactly what I do, but only for 1-2 days. But many years ago, before all the trace element talk, I ran it in a reactor and that tank grew and colored acros very nicely.Yeah, mine is passive. Rox .08 in a media bag.
Thank you, but fortunately it’s just a coloscopy, the only potential problem being going under and out of geneneral anesthesia. As far as earthquakes go, the northeast corridor is under at least one fairly major fault line. And we’re overdue for a larger one.Wishing you and your wife the best at the hospital.
