Buddy sent me a few shots checking on the tank today. Blown away by the amount of base the ivory snow is throwing down. Low-def pic but dat base:

I'm surprised how my ivory was quick to color up

Yeah i have no idea whats going on there, you run halides no? Wondering if its just different lighting? Mines got some good color going but not transforming like yours did:

Funny. My hubby would be rolling his eyes if it was halides because too much electricity. I run kessils a360x with 2 Quanta Pro meso blue.

Only been in 2 sales but your ivory snow was still the best auction pickup ive seen yet. That thing is suuuuper fluffy and i like the color variation you got to boot. Interested to see which way mine goes.

Lol, other than planning hasn't moved. January is a super busy month for me, it's end of fiscal year. Then February is sales kickoff. I can't even believe it's been sitting in my garage for 3 months now.
I would never do that if I had a new tank

Put me in line, new copperband isn’t touching aptasia
K, I'll let you know. They take awhile to grow.

On a side note, I'm getting a shipment from Biota tomorrow. I had ordered a skillet fish and two fancy peppermint shrimp https://shop.thebiotagroup.com/collections/invertebrates/products/peppermint-shrim which aren't sold elsewhere and supposed to be aiptasia killers. You could try those. I'm going to throw those in my 10g frag tank and see how they do. I can't put nudis in there to reproduce because it is too small for them to hide their egg clutches from things like bristleworms and amphipods who will eat the eggs. I think I have more rockwork in my display for the eggs to make it to hatching if I put mature nudis in it, so I'm trying some special peppermint.

I'll let you know how those go as another option. I've wanted them since December, but I was waiting for skillet fish to be in stock since I didn't want to do two orders and pay shipping twice.

Well at least you have the tank. I bet it's driving you crazy. It would me. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
