Can you pop gonis off rockwork? When they close up at night it just looks like a giant blob. I wouldnt mind relocating or fragging them but I kind of assumed they were fused to the rock at this point.

Thinking or creating a website, call it SBB Directory or something and compile a list of all sbb corals and anyone can go add a picture if they have to to a photo album linked to each named coral. Would be good to have for when people ask (mostly @billyocean) for photos of what some corals may look like. Could be a fun project
great idea. personally for me i love to see mother colonies so i know what the potential is. granted is always cool to get a colored down freebie and watch it turn into an awesome piece.

oy vey what a dilema

Morning! This is the first time in a long time I’ve tried to introduce a new fish to an established tank. It’s painful to watch. My new CBB is getting way too much attention from the tangs and angels. Poor thing. I understand the tank requirement to establish a new pecking order which includes it, and I hope it survives the process. It can’t outrun the big guys, but it can out turn them. The tangs have pretty much settled down, but now the male angel is taking its shot at chasing it. Hopefully in a couple more days, everyone will have settled down and accepted the new guy. If not, I’ll go in and rearrange a bunch of rocks and get them all confused. It is getting to eat and venturing about, but spending most of its time hugging the top corners. Time will tell. It’s really healthy right now as long as the stress doesn’t get to it. Fingers crossed.

Got any mirrors going?
I took the mirrors down last night. Had them up for two day. I felt it was keeping the tangs in a frizzy and wanted them to settle. I think it’s going as it should. It only got one little nip on its top back edge. That was from the Powder Blue tang shortly after I released it out of the acclimation box. Now it’s just occasional chasing when it ventures to the middle of the tank.
