Is it safe to order during the summer, despite the heat? How do we ship in hot summer temps?

Yes, it is absolutely safe to order during the summer - we will get your product to you alive and in great shape. Here's how we do it:

Step 1: We package all orders in 1.5" thick styrofoam coolers. (They're biodegradable, so no environmental worries there.) This helps moderate temperature swings and protect from the most extreme heat. But by itself, this isn't enough for ultra-hot locales.

Step 2: We check the weather every day before shipping and we add the appropriate size ice pack(s). (Please note that it's normal for the ice packs to be completely melted and room temperature when you receive your package. That just means they did their job!)

Step 3: We have an iron-clad and hassle-free live arrival guarantee. In about 2-3% of cases, something unusual happens along the way. It's not a problem - simply send us an email, a PM, or Facebook Messenger us and we'll replace your order free of charge. No pictures or videos or forms to fill out.

Why add copepods to your tank?

- They feed your fish and coral, particularly your finicky feeders like mandarins, pipefish, and anthias.

- They eat detritus, with their tiny size they can easily get into the tiny cracks and crevices in your rock.

- They are great at fighting nuisance algae, and significantly mitigate the "ugly phase" that new saltwater tanks usually get.

- They are *part* of the solution to some dino outbreaks. Combining copepods with phyto and other treatments can help with several of the different species of dinoflagelletes.

Got my order of 1G of pods, 1G of phyto, a small SnackleRock (to try it out - it matched my new Marco Rock in my new Red Sea Reefer S-850).

Everything was perfectly packaged, showed up on time, and put in the tank.

I’ve ordered before and am psyched that Dinkins is helping to get this new tank started right. And the magnet (free goodie) is proudly displayed on my fridge!

Extremely pleased with mine! I asked for a couple of pretty specific sizes and they nailed it! Packaging was perfect, love the easy to remove O-ring rubber bands on the bags, wish my LFS used those! When I set up my 150 I’ll be back for a much bigger order! Excited to break out the flashlight later and see if I can spot some pod movement.
