That is something green and florescent......

I would guess LPS of some form.
Most probably actually. I’ve got a couple hitchers mysel. The smaller just started showing after the the rock was in the tank for several months

I wasn't joking. LPS would be my guess. Happens far more then people know. I have a "rainbow" acan (mostly orange) that a hermit detached from it's skeleton. It's hiding in a dark corner that I could probably get to if I tried but it seems happy so I'm going to leave it and see what happens

This is awesome! You want this!

I used calcium nitrate as a diy nitrate option and my LPS have reacted wildly. They seem two be twice as puffy. SPS and softies no change.
I’ve been dosing ammonia. But even if I do manage to get some nitrates they either get removed by water changes or get eaten. Going on 5 months without managing to see a reading on nitrates over 2

MORE!!!

One reason I went with a nitrate dose instead of an ammonia dose is I felt ore comfortable upping dosages.

I saw that. I’m pretty sure my tank would eat that too. I do have some gfo hanging around somewhere if you decide you need it
I appreciate the offer. My corals all look super happy right now...

I have been slowly amping up my dosage but I’m inherently conservative about adding things to the tank. I don’t like dosing in general and the constant whoops I overdosed x threads don’t make me want to go down that rabbit hole. For a long time I had a fairly successful mixed sps reef where all levels were controlled by water changes. I changed out my bulbs once a year or so and didn’t own a test kit. It’s going to be a long time before I can get to that point again but I am aiming that direction with the next tank. 150ish gallons of water that will have a battlebox and some sbbcorals sps, a torch garden, some acans and lots of Xenia. The real question will be whether I tempt fate by having a clam in the angel heavy tank I’m planning

I'm totally throwing a loaf of bread in my tank! Or should I use a potato? He said not molasses or sugar... :thinking-face:

Except it was NOT there when I glued it down. Nor when I cut half the skeleton away….which makes me wonder if it did what scolys do and popped a baby out the side??

Feeding 3x a day an amount the size of a silver dollar. And if I feed frozen it's the equivalent of 2.5 cubes. For two fish. One very fat pintail wrasse and a firefish that lives in a cave that it dug out of the sand which only eats every 3 days or so.

Oh god no

And of course he shall not be mentioned is the second person to post.

Although the entire point of the billed in the tank is to clean it - in a sense…..but yeah I’m not reading that

I've seen pictures of his tank. If the only reason it's better is the Windex I'll take that as a compliment

I mean I thought it was the gonis and torches but ok
No it’s because he PROVIDES me with windex photos you goof

And all his gonis

Which I’m gonna steal one day while he sleeps shhhhh
