To prepare for this I have a qt tank running with copper. I will add a bit more water and run 2-3 fish in it. I have a little tray with sand for the wrasses when they go in.
It's a very simple setup.
A heater and a filter/power head . Some hides and fake plants

The coral seems to be doing ok. The nutrients dropped low so I'm dosing ammonia twice per day now. I have upped my phos a little as well. I'm hoping to get back up to .1 and 10 ish.

Looks awesome! I’m thinking of the same size tank as well, i will also be adding support under the tank. Do you have any pics of the support joints you installed? Also what do you think of the EXT stand? seem solid?

So me beams were parallel, but the far wall they are sitting on concrete and they are on a load bearing support behind me at 12 ft. I cut open the ceiling and added blocking between these beams first, then this support. Blocking will prevent the possibility of twisting and tie them together. Also on the left there is a very strong metal post that holds up the porch

The stand is easy to assemble and seems great so far. The downside is that you can easily screw into wood stands. But it opens from all sides, is higher and has big enough openings that I can get inside to move things.

A couple of photos today. These are the primary reason I don't have a regal angel.
