Nope, me either, (yet) we got 2 labeled as lightning maroon, but the one definitely looks like a Gold Lightning. Petco probably mislabeled it

We saw a few different varieties, snowflakes, Wyoming, Picasso, and some regular types. She was set on the lightning.

I think overall, her interest in the tanks will help her out. She has never had a healthy hobby before. She has shown a lot of interest and I've been showing her things that I do. We're going to frag some corals this weekend.

If im going fallow on sps for a 6 weeks for AEFW. What is the process. Remove all Sps( does this include montis?) and dip and put in different tank and treat. Do we think Tank transfer method like for ich would be advantageous.

dude that is so awesome, that was a great read and smile to start the day. my 3 year old loves to test the water with me and help with water changes, the reef is "her" tank, it's such a wonderful feeling to see them excited about something that we share

My 27yo moved home( the 3 little ones bio Mom) she's had a difficult adult life but definitely getting things together. So if I can help her have a good interest in things, feel better about herself, I'm hoping she continues on the path she is on.

Including montis, and yes you need a QT tank. It sounds like you know exactly what to do, you are asking if it all is necessary? If so, yes it absolutely is.

Montis are safe. It's just acropora.

Anacropora is supposed to be fine, digitata is fine, stylophora is fine....anything of the "acropora" genus, species, phylum....whatever it's called lol

I don't think tank transfer would be good. Get a quarantine tank and stabilize it. Transferring would be too much stress for acros, or at least that is my opinion.

Are all your acros glued to the rocks? Your rock frag things with holes, I'd just dip those and put them back and dip on a schedule.

alrighty i finally had some time last night to test NO3 and PO4...they are quite high. NO3 read 50 on the salifert test and PO4 was 3, again on salifert. i meant to make water for a WC last night but fell asleep before i could. i intend on doing one tomorrow morning, is there anything else you all suggest i do?
