i actually don't feed that enough as i should, i am mostly on new life spectrum pellets and flakes occasionally.
Didn't you do a tank transfer awhile back? That could have released a lot of stuff, things die off and reestablish.

In ppm? That’s crazy high

Side note I really wish more folks would provide units when sharing results. It drives the scientist in me crazy.

it's a 125, i have a blue tang, yellow tang, sailfin tang, tomini tang, three cardinals, three clowns, diamond goby, orange spot blenny, and a coral beauty angel as well as a fire shrimp. nowhere near enough CUC.
Might be time to run some GFO to try and get it under control, at least in the short term and to have available when needed. And look at other nutrient export options and your food amount/sources for long term control.

what sort of nutrient export options would you suggest exploring?

Gfo is effective for phosphates. You could try a skimmer to reduce both. With that many tangs I wouldn't want to risk lanthanum.

Always a refugium too.
i do have one of those snazzy red lights for growing chaeto, maybe i should put it to use and try growing it. is that best set up in my sump, or can i try an HOB?

Hanna make a phosphorus test that is in ppb, because of this it’s more accurate than the phosphate test but you do have to do a conversation if you want to know what phosphate specifically is. Anyway I was hoping maybe his results were in ppb, would be kinda low lol

But in my head every time is see someone say nitrates are 10 I think 10 what? Alk is 8, 8 what? I just can’t help it

That size tank a HOB may not be large enough or carry enough flow for export.

There's also carbon dosing, but in my experience it will crash your nitrates long before you see a big change in phosphates.
