I like dogs and much as anyone else, but there’s something wrong when you see more dogs in strollers than you do kids…

I’m just browsing

No buying

I’ve looked at their site in the past but it always seems to happen after I place a big order somewhere else

I’m very proud of myself. I haven’t bought anything else since I finished buying stuff from SBB…..
you say that now, but their sale goes till the beginning of Nov.

I'm debating picking up a few of the mollies they've got that are already transitioned to saltwater. Looks like they had a few for under $5

I love Gonis and Euphyllia. Maybe too much

Do you dose Manganese? Things are good for now but was thinking future. It seems many do.
I did as an experiment, with discrete dosing. Didn’t really see much of a difference, but the 3 part from AquaForest and the micro element dosing I do have manganese as an ingredient in at least one of them.

I've been doing some research on refugiums, I think I want to try it.
I had one on my last 30 gal. My stand wasn't big enough for a proper sump, so I just did a simple refuge. Funny thing, it was actually cleaner then the main tank. Never had algae growing out of control. Gonna try to have a small one in the new sump, someplace to put bad crabs and other helpful pest animals I don't want in the main.

I need to research if it's in the RedSea 4 part I'm trying

I’ve seen their site. Heard both good and not so good on forums. That’s an awfully small frag even at that price . You know you can get Gonis at least twice that size at the same price from Shane ? I’d avoid them, personally
True but they are good a good place for starter tanks, and they tend to have some other not so common pieces in reasonable price range

How many kids on a leash?
None yet, however in Monterey I didn’t figure I’d see that. They love their dogs more than kids here.

However at the Santa Cruz boardwalk…. Well there were leashes but not on kids :grinning-squinting-face:

There was a kid local to me that was going to the local college for marine biology and he swore by refugiums and said that he would never have a tank without one. He didn't have to dose very many things and his parameters were always great, so he said.

Ok but what about trace minerals? Unless he's only going with soft corals and doing weekly water changes. He's not adding those that have been consumed. Idk that would be one that I'd want to see what he's got going on, and what kind of livestock he's got.

That’s how I feel with algae scrubbers and my experience

Manganese is one of those obscure things you only hear about getting consumed by two things. Goni and macro algae lol. I actually never even dosed manganese until a few months ago. I don’t even know if I really have to.

My scrubber handles all my tanks filtration and I don’t really need to do much work on the tank except replenishing alk, ca, and occasionally magnesium. I don’t have anything complex like others do. No socks or fleece rollers, no mech filtration at all. No water changes. No skimmer etc

Been running reefs 10+ years this way

I started a few months ago and I swear most of my coral reacted in a positive way. I get better pe on my gonis yeah, but my euphyllia and everything else too. I notice the sweeper tentacles on my brain coral reached further. I wouldn't operate without it even if I didn't have gonis.
