Obviously my nutrients and phos are pretty decent actually but my gha is still beautiful rolling hills that would be out of control if my CUC weren’t up to the task. With all the coral coming it’ll compete with the gha for nutrients but also been dosing peroxide. Doesn’t seem to be making a massive dent but it’s been I believe 4 days. Gonna keep it going.

Got lazy with testing - EEK that ALK drop was wayyyyy unexpected and lower than ive ever recorded. That said I had been giving Alk dose two capfuls bi-daily. Anyone know why my tank seems to love to consume Alk?

Nope. I’m about to buy more Hanna Reagants now because I have only one left of phos and nitrate. I’m gonna need to do a test - weekly with the new coral to see the consumption levels and play with dosing. Not fun. However for 10 days that is an impressive drop to me.

Got it… seen a little Zoa growth but nothing really off the torches or Duncan. Very few coral in there just suprised that little took that much.

Just gotta stay on it man. That's why I was challenging everyone to stay on it. Make it part of the regular maintenance and it will save your *** one day. I do it every day that I'm home and I can distinctly remember 3 times it saved my acros vs if I wouldnt have had tested

Will need 2 x dosing containers for reagent and alk solution. And I reccomended wifi card for 30$. Sooo 500$ to auto dose alkalinity 6x- day
Reagent is 20$ and lasts 2 months
Alk solution is diy with baking soda and rodi

Ugh. I was thinking I’d get away without one for a few months (6 months or so) before corals really began really impacting my measurements

I have jebao doser. 1 gal alk and cal ESV containers. Dosing 12x a day, every 2 hrs. Nothing fancy

Are they difficult to set up and figure out what you need or how much? I haven’t really begun to research. Here I am giddy to get ‘okay’ lighting for my tank on Monday. Guess I’m showing how I’m still green in the gills.
