The biggest problem I have is that when I try to offer it food the other fish grab it so quick. There have been a few times that I feel like he had a good chance and didn't take it. The sticky stuff wasn't really sticky, came right off. I'm not home tonight but tomorrow I'll try clams again and tie it to a rock. I have a bird wrasse and she's quick. I'll try to keep the others occupied for a few minutes. I just don't know what to do about the pacing, there's not much I can do about that.
Maybe add other food first and feed the rest of the heathens so it has a chance?

I have. :crying-face: I feel like I've tried a lot so far, but I'm not giving up. I'm going to try the clam trick and I'll load the other fish up before I do and put two rocks out to keep the others occupied maybe. I appreciate all the suggestions and advice. I definitely didn't buy him to bring him home and kill him. I could maybe block the wall off so it doesn't reflect but I can't do the whole front of the tank and I think he'd just go there next.

Dip, maybe peroxide, even KFC dip, what's the par like?
Had since early August. Target feed 2-3x a week. Just the other day I lost one of these Asian acans. It was a bit damaged on arrival in august and never really plumped up. The other 5 I got all have been doing well. Now this one is receding

Strangely - I also lost:
1 new 2 head blasto I added 11 days ago. Was open and fine daily then one baby head lost overnight, second head fine yesterday morning and afternoon. Yesterday night head is 25% missing. I did an iodine dip and today remaining head is 50% missing

I wonder if one of my fish has started nipping

Par for lost blasto 80-100
Par for receding acan 100. On a rack next to 5 others all from same purchase and all doing fine

I know you’re trying, I’ve been there and I felt the same way. If it was fat when you got it then you have some time for it to adjust. I know with diligence you can do it. I learned from each one till I got a system.

As for the pacing, if you separate the tank it will come away from the glass. If you believe it’s chasing its reflection stop cleaning the glass. Problem solved.

Always temporarily taping construction paper on the sides to see if you can chill it out or just cover the territory it seems to have claimed. Cbb at this point seem like a crap shoot. Look at mine. Eating mysis and got it from a janky store but yours is doing this. Just keep attacking the problem and it’ll go.

My lemon damsel nipped certain Goni when I first got him. I isolated the Goni in cages and added more fish and he’s never touched Goni again. He’s a bersterd…I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s trying to eat other fleshy lps now.

This reminds me when I had a filefish and one day my 5yr old gold hammer coral colony was severely receded out of nowhere. Happened overnight. Then all my hammers started dying and I had no idea why. Then my acans. Finally from a distance I noticed when I’m not in front of the tank the file fish was making a buffet out of my euphyllia and acans. I saved the hammer by fragging and : days later I caught the file fish eating the frags I made. He killed those also. Needless to say i no longer have the filefish
