Any way to see if there’s something bacterial spreading? Take daily photos for a week of your other species to keep an eye on em.
I do take daily to weekly photos of everything. The blasto was fine for 8 or 9 days then on day 10 the baby head was skeleton and on day 11 the main head was fine and normal in afternoon and 4 hours later had a chunk of skeleton exposed and today (next day) it’s almost completely lost. I dipped last night with lugols also

Always temporarily taping construction paper on the sides to see if you can chill it out or just cover the territory it seems to have claimed. Cbb at this point seem like a crap shoot. Look at mine. Eating mysis and got it from a janky store but yours is doing this. Just keep attacking the problem and it’ll go.
The reflection is coming from the inside. The suggestion not to clean it is smart, I definitely won't but it'll take awhile to build up. I hope he is just stressed and maybe relaxes a little in the next couple of days once he realizes no one is going to bother him. If he realizes. I'm trying not to freak out bc I know that won't help either of us.

If that’s the case then kill the lights in your tank and feed keeping outside room lights on, turn it back on after a feed response.

I did try that too. It has to be completely dark for there not to give a reflection. I can feed, but I can't see if he actually eats. It's such a big tank, there's a lot of surface area.

My bsa madracis spent 2 days closed and honestly I was starting to go in panic mode so i moved it off the rack and to the sandbed and it didn’t help.

Then last night I thought - it’s been open every single day on the rack…put it back.

And this morning…

Starts to open in morning then closes all day and night.

I am suspecting fish nipping / interest

Live brine is usually a 100% feeding response. I got mine feeding off of little neck freshwater clams from the grocery store.

I’ve killed a few so I’m not Cbb whisperer but I found them on the way out if they paced the glass all day.

Try offering it zoas or acan frags. I’m not sure if it’s a tank with them already, as you’ve mentioned having a larger 450 that you were just now stocking. I believe you said it was larger one so is pretty stuck in its way until it learns. Once it takes try the sticky stinky food on the plug. My Cbb loves that stuff.

Most of my deaths came when I stocked them after other fish. The two I’ve kept were added first with Anthias. The system I have now my cbb was eating mysis by the end of a week. Took the clam minced and mixed with mysis.
My rocks were loaded with those small tube worms. I’d heard they were a favorite food and mine ate all of them and then continued to hunt/peck the rocks. I guess I got lucky as mine started eating frozen in about 7-9 days. And it’s picked all the visible aiptasia clean too, so double plus.

Still fits on a 3 inch disk, would be fine for most frags/small colonies. Large colonies a single might be better. Almost 1 inch between stems. 7/8 inch tall on the triple, 3/4 tall on the single.

These are pro grade. You should sell these on eBay or Etsy…
