Nothing planned yet@SBB Corals any plans for a local meet up or frag swap hosting for us close to the beltway?
Good times. I still enjoy hanging with the boys...but we used to be wild out there. All about chillin by the bonfire now. Lol
I honestly don't even want to think of having a hundred or more people at my house anymore/again.Good times. I still enjoy hanging with the boys...but we used to be wild out there.
Since youre not doing reefapalooza Orlando you could set up a little booth at the west palm frag swap IJS or skellyfest miamiNothing planned yet
Keeping it California Sober these days if anythingI honestly don't even want to think of having a hundred or more people at my house anymore/again.
Yeah, that's right up my nerdy alley. I just needed some sort of wife-approved limiting factor to counter my, "go overboard with a new thing and lose interest," personality trait. At a year you've barley dipped your toes in the water. 2 years is when it gets more fun. By then you've learned and applied so much that a lot of things become second nature. Then...you can start expanding knowledge in areas you used to never care about.. just to have it in your back pocket. What makes this hobby great, if you really dig it, is the level of which you can take the learning/knowledge and play around and experiment
As long as there are no overdrafts. All is good, right?I made a mistake I checked my bank account
This hits home. LOL.Yeah, that's right up my nerdy alley. I just needed some sort of wife-approved limiting factor to counter my, "go overboard with a new thing and lose interest," personality trait.
So far, even with the tank crash, I'm still having fun and enthusiastic. Though I am living in plumbing fitting hell at the moment. Did you know NPS exists and is separate, and incompatible with NPT? And the, surprise surprise, the item I ordered said NPT when it's actually NPS. Sigh.
ETA: I do wish I had somebody local that could just come over and look at the tank and be like, "oh, you're an idiot, this thing is that and this is the best solution," or wwhatever.
Flexpvc.com is a great place to get parts cheap. I ordered all my 1.5" gate valves and true union valves there. I think the gates were like 45 bucks and the true unions were like 25.Yeah, that's right up my nerdy alley. I’ve been doing this since I was 10, still feel like I’m a rookie sometimes. That’s what keeps it funAt a year you've barley dipped your toes in the water. 2 years is when it gets more fun. Even if there are.... once the box shows up all is right in the worldAs long as there are no overdrafts. All is good, right?
YES! True union valves.... Don't overlook such a useful product!Flexpvc.com is a great place to get parts cheap. I ordered all my 1.5" gate valves and true union valves there. I think the gates were like 45 bucks and the true unions were like 25.
Side note.
Been doing Reefs for about 6 years but never really put in any effort until about 2 years ago. Got serious bout it after several crashes from neglect really. Told myself to put max effort into it and see where I could take it. Everytime before i would start well....then slack.
Started doing sticks about a year and a half ago
