i have a 44gal brute on a 2x4 stand and a 22 gal brute on the floor and i just use a pitcher to fill the tanks or buckets from the mixing brute, its been needing upgraded for a long time. i managed to get a 100 gal tank for free so at least that helps with the cost of the other. and i'm close enough that i can just pick it up the shipping on those is quite a bit. bought a used pump. so i'm trying to keep it reasonable but i want a nice mixing station. It's not boring at all. Anything on this thread that isn't stupid memes is a welcome change. What was your mixing station made from before, brutes?
Mine is just a cheap 2x4 frame with one brute over the other connected with pvc. The top is fresh and I gravity drain it to the bottom when I need to mix saltwater.
I've always like the though of using decent water storage tanks but then I price them and change my mind.
I have an old, very old, masterflex pump hooked up that I use for a AWC so I never have to move buckets of water. I also have a 5 gallon bucket connected with tubing to my ato reservoir on the other side of the house that I keep a full siphon between the two. So when my top off water level runs low my rodi kicks on and fills up the bucket and ato at the tank.i have a 44gal brute on a 2x4 stand and a 22 gal brute on the floor and i just use a pitcher to fill the tanks or buckets from the mixing brute, its been needing upgraded for a long time. i managed to get a 100 gal tank for free so at least that helps with the cost of the other. and i'm close enough that i can just pick it up the shipping on those is quite a bit. bought a used pump. so i'm trying to keep it reasonable but i want a nice mixing station.
I think it's safe to say the inmates are officially running the asylum. ;Wacky Jon Doe has the upper hand.
