Same here, I am an ACC guy, NC State is my team. We were looking like the best team in the ACC up until last weekend lol.
Hey your doing better than Clemson, how many times have you been able to say that. Isn't Wake Forest in the ACC, I know they're having a great season.

Totally off topic, but i wasn't sure how to just tag people. since you are from ohio and in the interest of bumping the thread. Are you going to the CORA frag swap next weekend?
I’m unfortunately working the entire weekend. Otherwise I’d love to go. Never been to one though either

To tag a user you just ad a @ symbol then start typing their username. It will then pup up a list of usernames and just click on the one you want.
I am actually not from Ohio, I live in WV, although I should be an honorary citizen as much as I'm there. My family keeps season passes to Kings Island so we go every few weeks. I spent the last two weekends just north of Cincinnati and we are planning on going back this Sunday also.
I had considered going to CORA because I've never been to a frag swap and would like to go, but I haven't decided. Have you been to one of them in the past, was it worth it?
i was trying to tag reefing102 by responding to his last post.

Depends what makes it worth it to you? I have been to several, i try to make most of the local(ish) swaps. It is relatively small but there will be a lot of coral there to look at. Probably not a ton of high end sticks but there will be some. I don't think any big name national vendors will be there but plenty of regional shops and hobbiests.

thats a bummer. You should check out one of the regional swaps sometime, i think they are a lot of fun. CORA is the only one in Columbus that i know of but Cincinnati Dayton area has a couple every year and northern ohio has several LEAR being the best, but they have cancelled the last couple years. There is one outside of pittsburgh i like a lot.

I think I'd rather go to one that is more hobbyists and small places than any of the major online shops.
I have a little bit of everything coral wise and just going would be more about enjoying going then necessarily buying things. I may see if my wife wants to drop me off and her go shopping at Polaris. I'm not sure where the swap is and how far away it is from north Columbus.
She just couldn't go with me because she gets annoyed when I spend any time in a reef shop talking and looking, she would hate it there.

That is a big part of what makes it fun for me too. I don't have much as far as local reefers near where i live and its cool to get to talk to the other people in the hobby. you get to know some of the other people and its nice to see them and catch up. But i almost always end up going home with something. though often its through a trade, not a sale.

It actually is in north columbus, just inside the outerbelt off of 71

Hey that's only a few miles from the mall that my wife likes taking our daughter to. I may actually try to make it up there for it. It's only a few hour drive for us, so it's not that far away. Plus like I said we spend a lot of weekends in Ohio anyway.
If I go and buy from any vendors do I need to bring cash or do they all take debit cards?

i'm not sure if they have card readers, but they usually take paypal or venmo. its always nice to have some cash, some of the hobiests will only take cash. but most people these days have venmo or paypal

I usually sell some frags and use that cash to spend at the swap, or trade. So i'm not certain if they carry card readers or not, i try to keep my cards out of the equation, helps keep me out of trouble
