Might not be a 4th of July sale but I think I found your oldest sale in general -- Jan 5th 2007

These are all pretty awesome guys. Pretty awesome indeed!

My goal is to get the wining flyer picked tonight and I’ll officially use it for the sale!

Not going to lie. This one is going to be tough to beat. But let’s keep rolling. There will be prizes for playing either way I guarantee.

This is gauche and ink on canvas. Not AI. Depicted is bioluminescent organisms that represent the fire works of the ocean. The bioluminescent displays that I selected are those of jellyfish (Perriphylla perriphyla), (Atolla wyvillei), krill (Meganyctiphanes norvegica), and squid (Abralia veranyi). Our owl is perched above a branch of deep sea coral observing this spectacle. The corals tissue color is red and it has white polyps against a blue background; this is meant to reflect the Ensign. If selected I will ship Adam the canvas.

I kind of like the whole scene here, like if the flyer looked something like this, with the art incorporated into the entire shot. think we could work with this?

Thanks for the praise! One nerd note I want to share on mine. The Atolla wyvillei jellyfish (the ring shaped blue dots in the painting) uses its bioluminescent display as a sort of burglar alarm for when its predators are nearby. This alarm of sorts then attracts larger predators that prey on the enemies of the jellyfish. Dr. Edith Widder used this observation to develop a lure that mimics the display of the jellyfish, and subsequently was able to capture the first ever recording of a giant squid in the wild!

I can try to get a clearer shot and superimpose the text over it. Is that what you’re thinking?
