NEVER issue a PAE meter without 60-70% vslue as a refundable deposit. Even my local clubs require deposit. I sure hope this comes back to you.
If time goes by, I wonder if you can get police involved or take court action and garnish him?

He can get a new 250 dollar PAR meter for the low low price of 5000 dollars in legal fees and a year of his time.

Not worth the trouble over state lines and no contract, etc. It would cost more to pursue than it is worth.

EDIT: Ahh I see I was slow on the draw

I’m with the op. A little common courtesy goes a long way. I understand life happens. But not for this extended period of time. Unfortunate situation.

So maybe 30 years ago I worked on a haunted house. We built it inside a big warehouse...

Anyway - the first room was maybe 12' x 12'
floor, walls and ceiling were painted with 4" black and white checkered squares.

In said room were two HUGE slot loaded horns (painted as well)

4 house workers were dressed in black and white checkers - painted faces and hands and checkered head covers and shoes...

10 people at a time were lead into the DARK room.

Deep base creepy heartbeat started playing on horns... louder and louder with huge footsteps that shook the room. Pitch dark but a single strobe flash (not blinding, but just enough to barely illuminate the room) on each heartbeat... faster and faster...

and then..... a huge scream and thump that practically caved your chest in.... The bass was insane. Mind you none of this was "loud".. .it was loud enough but it was the base and the horns. it was "right there".

Right as the scream played... the strobes kicked on. The room did not look to be strobing really, as it was so fast... but you couldn't really see the checkered people moving around....But you could kinda of invis.....

It was insanity..... and we had to tone it back a bit because people freaked out and it was the first room of a huge haunted house.

I can still hear that whole track play in my mind.

Anyway, that was my first real experience with powerful horns.

Yea it’s not about the money as the meter is 250 new and I bought it from a member for 175

There is no legality here as it was a loaned item

This is about principal. I want it back

3.5” Cynarina up for grabs if someone mails it to me or plays a key role in getting it sent back to me
