Also I got myself what I think is a really good backup battery. What happened to littlefox really scared me so I got two. It has the sine wave AC output which is apparently important and with 146Wh should run my little powerheads for a day or two.

Got some good news and some bad news:

Bad news is the newest wrasse got a spinal injury. It’s doing alright at the moment but unsure of long term.

In good news I won a big acclimation box from octoaquatics which means I will soon have two because I decided to buy a small one recently. Having two will be nice though as I have two tanks obviously.

Also glad I didn’t get the LA gift card. What would I do with that?

I was hoping for the LA GC. I was gonna buy a Tang or wrasse.

But it's super cool that I won the light!

I used to really like their divers den and Wisconsin facility but when I checked a few weeks ago there were very few interesting things there. It used to be full of cool oddities but it seems it’s not doing that anymore. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled by fish stores near me though.

Nothing from their LA facility has shipped well for me.

It wasn't cheap for a micromussa but this thing was so brightly colored and well I had a bad week and needed a pick me up.

Edit: I did tactically put it directly on the pandora polyps

Started dosing Bacto-balance about a week ago and despite not doing a water change for a week:
Alk 8.7
Phosphate 0.16
Nitrate 0.0
Ca 415
Mg 1200

I think with BB I shouldn't worry about that unreadable nitrate but I'm not sure. Still having stable phosphates is great. Maybe I should start dosing nitrate though?

I would. ND nitrates can be good if you want to grow algae?

Decided to see how difficult it would be to remove some of the GSP and the answer is pretty easy. Removed the largest chunk on the right side. Whats crazy is how it is growing out of the water. GSP is the craziest coral. I'm surprised it hasn't taken over the ocean.

Dang… I now feel bad for being unable to grow it haha. So far I’ve had 5-6 pieces of GSP from frags to colonies and not one has made it.

GES, GSP eating starfish? I guess it just shows how all tanks are different. I killed the only colony of xenia I tried and thats supposed to be another easy weed-like coral. Anyways you can grow real SPS so I will always be jealous of your tanks.
