Meh...I'm sure I can drip acclimate a caradina to a reef tank right?! Haaa haaa.

Hello fellow reefers! My name is Andy. I'm a newbie with only a 13.5 nano setup and working on a "new" used setup. I'll start up build threads on those soon. Should I make separate threads for each tank?

Here's my Fluval Evo 13.5 between my recliner and my side of the bed. It's in the perfect spot for me to observe from either side!

I figured I'd join up here since I know I'll need to get as much wisdom as possible to hopefully avoid some pitfalls along the way. This seems to be the most active forum online so it will be nice to get insight from so many keepers all over the world.

One of my other hobbies is freshwater caridina shrimp. Hence the username. Is there a caridina group here?! Maybe in the off topic section?

Welcome aboard, you can make as many as you need or just a joint one with your updates. I combined mine eventually.

Thanks Lavey! Enjoy your stay. Spanish Bay is such a beautiful place. Pebble Beach in general is simply magnificent! The tide pools around Asilomar are amazing. Time it just right and you can spend quite a few hours exploring the pools.

Looking good! Always a fan of gsp on the side/back. How are you liking the RFG? Been debating adding some and upgrading the return on mine.

That's amazing! Congrats. Wish you the best of success and I hope your locals realize how great it is to have a good LFS. Keep grinding and encourage those dollars to stay local. If I'm ever in the area, best believe I'll swing by!

Thanks. Instead of the flat GSP look, I decided to just leave most of it on the big chunks of rock and glue to rocks. I did try and break off smaller chunks to spread the colony a bit, but I was going for more depth and undulations to the back wall.

I really like the RFG. Definitely an upgrade to my flow. I upgraded my return pump to a cheapo vivosun 210gph and it's doing a dang good job. Maybe a little too good. Sucking my 3rd chamber down faster than the water is going through the filters. But not horrible. Just need to adjust the spacers for the filter basket.
