What do you do with corals during multi-day reef shows?

Attending Reefstock Chattanooga... Planning on buying stuff... But I can't leave them in bags for 2 days. I mean maybe... but I'd rather not.

What's the standard here? I'm leaning toward bringing a small tank with a power head and a heater and setting it up in my hotel room until we head home.

Depends on what corals you get, small frags in a bucket with an airstone or small submersible should be fine. Weather is warm to hot so you shouldn't need a heater unless you run the A/C down to 62?

Well... Maybe 66. We do like it fridgid. I'm not sure why a bucket didn't occur to me. That would seem to be the obvious solution. Haha! Maybe even a large Tupperware container of some sort.

I take a few trash can liners and use the waste basket to reduce weight.

Last vacation I had a chunk of coral in a bag in a plastic waste basket, the coral poked a hole in the bag and the waste basket had a hairline crack. I was wondering why the bathroom floor was wet. They had a galvanized can on the patio that held water.

Get some nice things!

Yep going to RAP in September and going to bring a bucket with a few gallons of tank water, a small powerhead and a heater.

If anyone runs into this later, the vendors would hold them until the next day for you. :)

I would bring a minibow 2.5 or 5 depending on how much I plan to spend. I’d line the bottom with eggcrate and add a small 5-10w heater. Filtration media would be ditched for a bag of matrix or LR rubble

Tank is acrylic, has lid, filtration to function as a powerhead. It would be makeshift but probably fine for a few days in a hotel
