Photo dump.. just quick iPhone shots with the halides on.. growth is really good for 2 weeks it’s crazy! The colors look great when the halides are off but a little drab with them on.. at least in the photos.. the blues and purples look insane under the phoenix bulbs… you def don’t see that under leds because the blues wash everything out! Got some Prazipro coming today… my chalk bass and sail fin keep flashing the sand… this will be my first time dosing my display so I hope my Sps don’t mind… it says reef safe and I read lots of good things about it!

I’ve dosed Melafix in my large reef tank and…

P.S. I was VERY unhappy when this occurred because this coral you could literally see growing, it would grow an inch every week and thrived.
I still have the skeleton in my collection of coral skeletons but I doubt I’ll ever find out the type it was other than ‘Green Staghorn’

That sucks! I have the coral I believe you’re talking about.. it seems every green stag in Vegas is a green slimer lol… def not the case as I’ve acquired 2 different ones and my first one was def a green slimer.. if you touch it lots of mucus comes off.. I got a second one with my tank when I bought it, it was labeled as a slimer but it’s totally different… coralites are different and it doesn’t have the fluoresce of the green slimer! It’s a cool piece so I kept it!

This one.. my slimer is totally different and doesn’t grow as fast as this one.

yes! It is that one! Can you see its growth?
I never got a good photo of mine but here’s the best I have. I’d love to find the same coral again as that thing was easy as pie to keep alive, it withstood a Torch melting!

Yeah it’s a fast grower! Especially under halides lol… I’ll send you one once it grows out some more.. I moved it around so it’s not really established with a base at the moment..

I found the skeleton, I think I got it at 2” and it now sits as a 5” skeleton, maybe I’ll get my Leptastrea to encrust over this piece when it starts to grow out.

Yeah that’s a big boy.. I’d put a sunset monti on that thing and turn it bright Orange.. I have one and it’s soooo bright! I need a skeleton cause it’s boring on a disc haha!

Unfortunately I have Atleast 7 skeletons from out of this tank (Some may be from previous corals but any SPS skeletons are from my current tanks).

I have Atleast 5 monti pieces in my nano and 3 are encrusting soo… Maybe I’ll frag them and throw them into my 4’ tank to get the nice orange stick

Not good so far! Sailfin is putting him in check mirror is on tank!! He don’t stop the sail fin will be sumped for a week …. Ugh..

Checked on them before leaving for work and they were chilling in the rocks and no one was dead lol…. Now I gotta wait 12 hours before I’m back home to see how it’s going with the lights on.. I removed the mirror because I’m Not home and don’t want all the fish going crazy haha…
