Isnt that just stunting?why don't you get it if it gets too big trade it in or even better upgrade? it might not get to it's real size my tangs have stayed like 5/6" and looks like they have stopped growing
Uhm...No naso then? After rock and sand… with the tank being only 15 high… This is like a shallow puddle and not a standard 6 foot tank.
i guess you could call it that but fish normally get 70-80% of there true size in captivityIsnt that just stunting?
Thats true thoi guess you could call it that but fish normally get 70-80% of there true size in captivity
I haven’t seen anything that you’ve done to offend anyone. There is nothing wrong with making a thread asking if a certain fish/fishes are reasonable to put in your tank, even if some people, like me, think it’s a bad idea. I’d rather see someone create a thread asking questions than to just buy fish that are a bad fit for their tank, which in the past I have been guilty of.PS- I am really sorry if i offended anyone
Honestly I have to agree. This thread was to gather opinions to help others, I dont see why people are so mad at me :/I haven’t seen anything that you’ve done to offend anyone. Years ago I put an orange shoulder tang in my 125g tank (which ended up dieing in a tank crash). It wasn’t until I actually saw a full sized orange shoulder in person that I realized just how big they can get and that they have no place in a 125g tank. It’s hard to understand how big some of these fish get without actually seeing it in person, and this is how I became a junior member of the tang police.

That was a bad arrangement of words, I meant why people think my tank is strange or a puddleI don’t see anyone mad at you.

Tamberav is a very smart person. Take her words like gold! She knows what she’s talking about. That was a bad arrangement of words, I meant why people think my tank is strange or a puddle
Oops. We posted at the same time.Because I also own a shallow tank around that height and I can’t imagine those large fish in it as adults.
kay. I got confused.Because I also own a shallow tank around that height and I can’t imagine those large fish in it as adults.
You're an undercover then. What is that- 75-85 gallons? You would need at minimum 200 gallons for the Naso and 180 gallons for the Sailfin. I'm not the tang police
ill take that as sarcasm and add one more to NoI had 2 yellow tangs in a 12" goldfish bowl...all that happened to them id they got super dizzzy
