It goes through phases for weeks where it looks like this
Or
And then it does this in the middle of the night
I’m told that once it’s base is fully spread and encrusted, it will extend almost 24/7 and was warned it’s a slow grower.
I have two frags. One of them for 8 months. It’s encrusted maybe .25” in each direction in 8 months.
No; it's a DipsastraeaFavia I think. It's been a really slow grower so the bigger it gets the more I love it.
You’re not allowed to post any more gorgeous pictures #g#goals…t kidding, please keep posting gorgeous pictures of your amazing, well cared for corals! How am I supposed to pick?!?!?? Ahhhhh!!!!!

And now it's like this
That first photo was 2 weeks after having the mushrooms in the tank, not even I had seen it and I had it in my hand to place it in the tank hahahaTalk about a neat scavenger!
How am I supposed to pick?!?!?? Ahhhhh!!!!!
Your tank looks like a TV screen, its amazing. How long has it been up?Not my favorite coral type per se, but it is my favorite individual colony that I own.
It’s a huge 15-20” in diameter Turbinaria that I’ve grown from a small frag, and no matter how big or colorful other colonies are, it always stands out and steals the show:
You can really tell when a colony is HUGE when you look at a tank from ~30ft away and can still make up exactly what It is lol
Thank youYour tank looks like a TV screen, its amazing. How long has it been up?
