i am curious, how porous is the rock?
It is not porous at all. They mention this also. Only the surface will carry bacteria. It’s solid otherwise. And they also state that if your display is only using this product, you should supplement with biological media elsewhere

It is a liquid resin poured in a mold. So there are no pores

It’s a good thing. It means no little worms or pests are going to be making their way in and using it as a hotel

Good point :) no spot for good means no spot for bad. I’m weighing whether to start fresh or reuse all my beautiful rock natural rock that has good and bad. (Of course seeding)

They make some really interesting pieces. There’s a vertical tower with mount points all around. Lots of different types of magnet branches and ledges.

I would say get all the pieces that interest you. Mount them to the glass / place in sand. Then build live rock around it to incorporate.

I definitely would use more of this stuff but I don’t have the space. However, I am considering removing things and replacing with other models of aqua rock shelves

Thanks- I’ve been digging the Marco shelf rock look and leaning that way. Trying to figure out how I make it look cool alongside tonga (but not enough tonga for a whole tank)

@stoney7713 tried this one. Got one. Little smaller holes and put the same holes as food holder throughout inside

. They love to squirm in those smaller holes.
You got some baby worms?

It was the opposite for me, the trap pictured worked the best. Guess it all depends on how many trophy worms ya got
