Was checking out the live rock on TBS site. All my live rock was purchased over 20 years ago but thought I'd see what their recommended package would be if I was setting up from scratch. Only $12,500, wow!!!!

I used the AF probio S bacteria for this round of concotion. Never saw this kind of feeding response this long after feeding, been a full hour-hour and a half

For my next build, I am going with TBS live sand, and dry rock. From my understanding, you get as much benefit from the sand alone as you do from the sand and rock. Granted, macrofauna diversity will be less, but the bacterial diversity will be about the same.

I agree you would but I think in the end it's getting the surfaces you want colonized with what you want before the uglies take hold.

Wouldn't be much different than starting dry rock with bottle of bacteria or some rubble in the sump.

I believe in this as well if you want fast results. If you don’t care about time as much most anything else works just fine. Also keep in mind their sand is a lot of shells

Sounds like a bargain. I mean who need to pay for bills, mortgages, loans and or rent?
