I didn't take a picture out of tank but this worked great. Old mag float, hollowed/flattened a chunk of rock and attached. It's my Monti rock now and filled my dead high corner. May have to adjust flow but seems good for now and got those plates moved. If I glue a bizarro to the rock do you all think it will bother the montis if it encrusts the base?

Helix ships 0-20V dimmable capable. Why add a dimmer upstream of a dimming power supply?
I meant 0-10V. Sorry!
@wjm6449 telegraham has a background with electronics. May be beneficial to engage with him your thoughts on the device you wanted to experiment with for the helix. He can likely point you in the best economical direction as well as prevent anything bad from happening upon recieving your new light.
It'll either work or not. And given that the Helix is 0-10V dimmable, why someone would want to dim that AC side is beyond me.

@telegraham okay here it goes. I am limited in electrical knowledge and honestly most going ons with reefing as I’m at an intermediate stage… that said I have wired my house before.

Anyway that said was yes I purchased a helix, I’m aware that it’s a 0-10 control knob with dimming capability. Because of that I saw the kasa outdoor dimmer switch and thought well, one if I can have the dimmer switch wireless dim (sunrise sunset) on the helix why not. That said no one seems 100% sure, even the manufacturer. Worst case if it is stupid I’ll make it an automated on off switch for the lights, BUT if it actually can function as I envision. It, it would be quite a game changer for quite a few folk.
I've used the dimmer on Quanta Pro and on the AliE populargrow bars. It does not work with the populargrow.

If I were you, I'd dim the Helix using 0-10V. That's two wires and an appropriate dimmer.

Okay, thanks for taking the time to answer.
