Are you taking about my post with the red cage?

If yes - the colony grew and I occasionally get a mushroom in a random place. In this case, my sandbed near the colony. The mushroom is not attached to anything and has been in the same spot for weeks. Until the day after I included it in a sale. I checked the tank the day after and the mushroom was gone lol. I found it behind a rock. Grabbed a bristleworm by accident trying to fish out the mushroom. About 50+ bristles in my finger. Lol. Then I decided the mushroom will be caged until it’s packed and shipped.

They normally don’t move around, after they are attached to rock and settled in
Bad mushroom. Even better it found a its our body guard to hide behind LOL

Had the same thing happened

Removed the blasto

Dipped in iodine

Removed the dead skeleton

Rinsed in iodine

Placed back in tank

Baby heads doing good

Did you dip following ratio on the bottle ?

Rinse in iodine ? Was this a second cup of iodine / saltwater?

I’m confused it sounds like you are using pure iodine and I just want to confirm

This is why @SBB Corals threads are great learn something new. Always thought you didn’t dip nems now I know
To be clear i have no idea about nems. You use potassium iodide to supplement trace. Some use lugols as a disinefectant/recovery dip for fragging. Cant speak to that.

I can. Regular over the counter iodine diluted to the scientific level of “iced tea”. But definitely supplement the recommendation with some research. Bob Fenner is my ref.

I'm torn between salwater and reef cleaners. RC you get more bang for your buck but definitely questionable posts which may just be inevitable...any recommendations?
I've never got from saltwater. I order RC once. Some doa which John refund immediately. I get snails from sbb and crabs I buy from my lfs.

Reef cleaners all the way. John was always prompt to fix any issue. One shipment was missing a crab, one shipment had a DOA, one shipment was completely fine. Prompt refunds, no questions asked.

These were large shipments, lots and lots of tiny critters. I feel when your ordering 100's of little critters loosing one or 2 isn't out of the question.

I made only two medium size orders 20-40 items and one small order (5-10) and each time, I had zero losses with reefcleaners

I use povidone iodine solution - store bought

I add some to a cup of tank water till a light tea color. After I removed the extra skeleton I used a fresh cup to rinse it off in.

Lol @ ^

They take time to develop full color. Needs to be larger.

This was mine when it arrived

I had good extension and teal/green but all the tips were basically purple

I’ve played around with placement and now I’m getting more colors developing but much shorter extension. I am going to try something new. I’m going to stop touching it lol.

Well I came in from work this morning and my attempts to keep my Jawfish from making ginormous holes everywhere continue but he keeps undermining me.
