I don't understand what you are saying. Luca replied that the item you asked him about would not work with the light as his light is dimmable via a 0 to 10v output from a controller. What you sent him is not that. He then went on to tell you that you can manually dim the light with the included knob on the unit (if not using a 0 to 10v controller output) to adjust brightness to your specific need/color choice.

Not sure where you read "could work but could fry the light" in his response.

The Quanta bars are not dimmable. The Helix is using the proper controller or via manual know. Were you looking for the light to ramp up or are you just looking for something to turn them on and off?
Just to clarify i don't think spectrum (color) is adjustable at all on any quanta products. Thanks for reiterating a point that needs to be made here.

It wasn’t a clear cut yes no to me. That said yes I was thinking of utilizing the switch as a dimmer on top of the psu. It’s not necessary, just me trying to be cute. I can manage and survive with just an automatic on off switch which at the end it does.

Hey now, i honestly think spiking the amber/green has had some impact for me.
Unrelated note i took a single frag off my SBB ivory snow a while back, the new growth is straight blue, so i took a bunch more frags and left 1 original. Excited to see what happens here:

Lightings a small part of it but the spectrum youre buying will grow coral fast. Youre getting alot more light than that blade has to offer.
I wasn't dissing on you...agreeing with what you said...just funny when people can't adjust a spectrum that's already awesome...like the helix...no need for a spectrum adjustment.

Yeah. I’m thinking once my other obligations are handled getting another 3 pack and should be set. The discounts on packs are pretty crazy. Either way it will be good to have more light. I wouldn’t be suprised if I’m getting 150 max par right now near the middle of the tank.
