Yes. Its perfect. Pvc would be an eye sore.

If you do decide on a ribbon. Hypo is the best route vs copper.
If I decide on one, I'll get with our buddy to bring one in for me. He did well by you and others.

Getting them healthy and eating seems like it could be daunting.

I really was hoping to avoid inlaying PVC. Glad to hear you don't think it's a necessity, after only one.

Ideally, I'd love for it to live primarily on the right using the hammers and frogs as cover over the cave network built in. This dome is essentially hollow, but very sturdy.

There is also a cave, under torch Island.
Nobody has inhabited it yet. Would be cool to see an eel poking out.

I saw the cave by torch island. My first guess is there, followed by the hammers.

The topic on ribbon eels was brought up a bit ago. More and more are now eating. Jay said in early 70s to 80s he could never get one to eat. Cyanide was heavy then. And could be the reason

I'm still a firm believer cyanides the main culprit. Thats the case with a lot of angelfish and butterfly fish as well. They can't eat. The livers melting.

It's officially a Reef again!

These two have been paired up for quite a while. Started as an addition to the nem tank but the make who was barely 1/2" at the time about got killed by the existing pair.

They came down to live in the frag tank. During treatment I decided to move the H. Mag down into the big tank as it just didn't seem happy up stairs.

I netted the clowns and released them directly above the anemone and they both dove right in and haven't left it yet..View attachment 3082087
All I can say is…. Wowsa!

Why does everyone want to look like they are getting ready to join the circus?
Probably because they’re getting ready to join the circus. The real question is who’s the ringleader?

I thought all the circuses went out of business

I’ve covered pvc caves with sand and rock to make them look better. Just cover with super glue first.

I wanted to do this, I can't recall why I didn't
Also, I wouldn't advise moving the sand as torches really hate kicked up sand. That's a bigger complicated problem.

If he wants to make pvc caves he can. Everything looks so perfect, I wouldn't want to add anything out of place.

I think he has enough caves for a ribbon to make several cozy homes. My largest worries about ribbons is getting them comfortable, and if there will be that fish.... That one fish who says "you gotta go".

But... If that's the case... We'll cross that bridge when we get there. He hasn't even gotten an ribbon yet..

Next Eli feeding, I'll get another video. I'll get the tripod down. Ribbons are so mesmerizing with their movements.

So it's a totally different thing? I think the blue and yellow are better looking.
That thing. I wouldn't go ghost, thicker body and will eat other fish.

What on earth is a Ghost Ribbon eel?
No clue. They posted it on Facebook Wednesday I think but I thought it was a normal Ribbon Eel. Today, the ad drops with a Ghost Ribbon Eel.

Completely different species. I don't really like them.

I perfer the true ribbon eels. They're graceful. Sonar nostrils. They're unique.

Alright.
@Lost in the Sauce youve seen plenty of nems recovering from splits. Do they bloat the foot where the split took place?
Guarding mouth, swollen at the part where split took place. Still very responsive. Or is it another "nem doing nem things" situation?

I can't say that I've seen that specifically. How long since it split? Not uncommon for splits to walk away from each other.
