I think you've lost track of what a war is.

People can have conflicting views on something without them "being triggered" or taking offense.

Although these days that does seem questionable.

Yes, most people can have conflicting views and even have a conversation about those views without getting angry, taking offense, or being triggered but the unfortunate truth is there are enough loud people that scream foul everytime something is said that they disagree with.
