No, not getting hit. All my other torches arr out in full and swaying about but this guy has been limp all day..

I'm not a torch pro, but you do have a good flesh band still going down the skeleton, so that is a good sign. That recedes and you are in trouble.

If it's been there for this whole time, I'd just watch it. My pulls in at lights out, if a shrimp crawls on it, or pooping. It goes back to full torch mode afterwards.

Looks as though if you 3d printed a nem guard it only has to clip onto the bottom in those recessed slots.

I'll buy one and 3d model a nice nem guard, then send the one I buy and a couple guards off to someone in the thread.

Oh that's got the deflector built in. I wonder if I can make a 3/4 guard that only covers the intake.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Reminds me of the old hair rollers that would just clip on. Or even if they slip on and only cover 3/4 the guard.

PETG is flexible enough to accomodate clipping on. just remember to give it a little extra webbing on the verticals for both flow direction and 'spring'.
