I think she does it to keep pH up at night. It seems she raises Alk by almost 1 dkh overnight and loses almost that in the 16 hrs she isn't dosing.

So maybe spreading it out a bit more might would stabilize the parameter a bit more.

I love it so far. Easy to clean. I find that it looses power if I don't keep up with the cleaning

You mean spreading out the so 32ml further out. Maybe 2ml every hr.

Test again. My tank does consume 1 dkh per day. Test at 7am and it was 8.7 and 7.8 just now.

Wow your alkalinity is falling a full point everyday? a couple of days of pump failure could be disastrous. I would try to use a dosing pump and dose like 12 times a day to keep it more consistent. Thats what I am doing.

Agreed. And I could tell you what I do, but Id rather let someone more experienced step in. Im barely dosing anything at all.

I just take mine out and drop them in a bucket of citric acid, let them run for an hour and they get pretty clean with minimal brushing.
