Oh that's got the deflector built in. I wonder if I can make a 3/4 guard that only covers the intake.

This must be a newer ones because the previous scp I bought didn't have deflector. Is it so theater water doesn't splatter on top

It's actually to tune the flow in the direction you need it. If you mount them vertically you can use it to push a blade of water across the glass or towards the overflows.

This is 1st scp I have with the deflector. The dragon soul I just bought. Its more like 7 heads with a tiny baby head. Ill test it later tonight

I just got one gently used today. He bought new about a month ago but had a leak that shorted out the power adapter. Controller and gyre still work but I had to order a new adapter...we shall see. He ordered a new scp150 because the 180 was too strong on setting 1 for his 120

@StatelineReefer I can't tell in the pics, but it looks like the groove on the front could be a good way to clip the guard on. I wonder if there's one in the back too.

Test again. My tank does consume 1 dkh per day. Test at 7am and it was 8.7 and 7.8 just now.
