Morning. Checking out the tank this morning and noticed my new Sugar Rush Frag was missing. Either a turbo or urchin dislodged it. Spent 30 minutes looking all over the back of the tank and couldn’t find it. Came back around to the front and there it was riding on it’s mobile Frag rack. Looked pretty good and was wondering if I should just leave it. But, decided to put it back where it belonged. On a positive note, all the looking for it, I found an Aiptasia hidden in the rocks. Zap!! With Aiptasia X.

how are you manually controlling it. Aptaisa x, pure lemon juice, boiling water,
Lemon juice works well, also use Joe's Juice. The sodium hydroxide method looks appealing.

I just have to stop putting it off, if I see one I need to nuke it ASAP and not say I'll get it when the kids go to bed then fall asleep myself. :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

I looked at Salty too but wasn't sure if anyone had used them. Plus, they're a lot more expensive. With dinkins, we got 3 two adults and one juvenile for $39 I think.
I like Salty, at least for some things. Last month got 2 urchins and 2 lettuce nudis. Very healthy. And the urchins were bigger than I expected. And as of now all still happily munching away.

I sent Steve some glowing urchin hats for this reason, hopefully to leave the frags alone if if not easier to find the urchins...

Yeah, I tend to use lemon juice. There were a few times I superglued them in the hole cause I knew for certain they’d be trapped.

I have no problem finding them, though I’ll definitely try out the hats. They’re big purple lunkers. This one is actually slightly smaller than the other one have.

Well, pulled the princess peach frogspawn out of the tank. After lights came on, I could see the top head starting to have bailout also. Once I grabbed it by the base to pull it out, the top came off more, and the bottom one fell apart some.

Will continue to monitor and hopefully have no other issues. Only the second LPS to have bailout like that on us. The other was the big pink hammer we had also (3 or 4 months ago). One day completely puffy and happy, next day complete bailout with no reason why. Nothing else effected, hopefully the same this time.

AND a bit pricey and can be an expensice snacks for some shrimps and inverts
I just saw a place selling eggs only for $3. I can't remember where, but here is another place selling them for $5. For the price, might be worth trying. You'd have to put the eggs in an acclimation box or something so your fish don't eat them right away.
