and I go to bed earlier than the guessing ended, so you had plenty of chances without me at my phone. just you and Greg, maybe Ryan battling it out. It's all good! @Mschmidt is a great guy and deserves to win!
this seems to have run it's course, but was the conclusion that a board is more finished and the plank is rough hewn? or was size still a factor? The wood is categorized as a board if its width is less than 2+1⁄2 in (64 mm), and its thickness is less than 1+1⁄2 in (38 mm).
planks are usually more than 1+1⁄2 in (38 mm) thick, and are generally wider than 2+1⁄2 in (64 mm)
It'd be kinda weird if we called it a plank walk though... We'd all walk the plank whenever we went shopping on the Boardwalk?

Yes to which?Yes.
Frogs love rivets...they won't shut up about themI wonder if our board/plank discussion yesterday counted as meaningful posts? Maybe we can initiate another riveting discussion today?
Speaking of rivets, why is it so close to Rivers but completely different? It's crazy how 1 or 2 letters can completely change the meaning of a word. Season and See Son?
I blame @billyocean
Both, I think. Maybe?Yes to which?
That would definitely eliminate a lot of light bleed from outside sources and help keep the light inside for higher par especially if the inside of the plywood were painted white. What about an on theme one? When setting up a frag tank, what is the value of using a tank over plywood on 3 sides with a viewing panel?
In addition, it would save cost of buying the tank and you could get the exact dimensions you wanted. a "used needs reseal" 60 lowboy could make 4 frag tanks with the sides. a depth of 3 feet allows a 2 foot light defuser with room on the sides for fish to swim around...That would definitely eliminate a lot of light bleed from outside sources and help keep the light inside for higher par especially if the inside of the plywood were painted white.
Ohhhhh.... You're talking about physically building the tank with plywood sides and bottom and only glass or acrylic front. In addition, it would save cost of buying the tank and you could get the exact dimensions you wanted. a "used needs reseal" 60 lowboy could make 4 frag tanks with the sides. a depth of 3 feet allows a 2 foot light defuser with room on the sides for fish to swim around...
haven't spent any time thinking about this, none at all. nope, not one minute.
+1 to this probably.Or..you could just buy the tank and call it a day. It a about the cheapest part of the hobby. Time, material, labor cost are more than what the tank costs for me.
What about Tik Tok? After all it’s where people can learn to cook chicken with NyQuil. Even better than chicken soup for colds . I swear.Nah, Wikipedia. It must be true! Wikipedia and Facebook are the only trustworthy sites on the interwebs.
