And why isn't a Parkingfew at Circle K? There's only enough spots for 5 or 6 cars...

The wood is categorized as a board if its width is less than 2+1⁄2 in (64 mm), and its thickness is less than 1+1⁄2 in (38 mm).

planks are usually more than 1+1⁄2 in (38 mm) thick, and are generally wider than 2+1⁄2 in (64 mm)

It'd be kinda weird if we called it a plank walk though... We'd all walk the plank whenever we went shopping on the Boardwalk?

So if a board is less than 1.5” thick and a plank is more than 1.5” then what are we supposed to call wood that is exactly 1.5” thick. Which would be nearly all regularly used lumber.

Wait, isn't a 2*4 actually 1 3/4 by 3 3/4? Or is it 1/2?

Also by that definition anything a 2x4 or bigger is a plank, but I guarantee if I went to lowes and asked where their 2x6 planks were I’d get some strange looks.
Plus I could just find a single source for that definition so I feel like you are cherry picking your source to prove your point.
