Fist successful heart transplant in the US was at Stanford University Hospital.
The first one in the world was somewhere in Africa...
I did already say Stanford earlier. Lol

That's about what does well in mine.
It’s amazing how different corals strive in different tanks.
I usually do well with acropora, gonis, and euphyllia but a lot of the “easier” corals like acans, blasto, favias, zoas struggle in my tank. That’s not to say I don’t have several of these easier corals striving in my tank because I do, but it’s not a guarantee that I will be able to keep them alive.

Yeah but the question didn’t say the first transplant in the US. Besides I’m not sure the one at Stanford should be considered successful since the person lived 15 days.

Blastos, Favia, Rhodactis, Gonis, and Alveopora all do good in my tank. Euphyllia and Micro not so much. Acros and Tenuis were a no go as well - even Green Slimer and Green Goblin(?).

In the new tank so far everything is bright and happy - giving feeding responses - but so far besides the Spongodes nothing is really noticeably growing and that includes the Neon Green Pocillopora.

@OrchidMiss i believe you are correct for the US but the most correct answer is Groote Schuur Hospital in cape town on December 3rd 1967
The first transplant ever was at university of Mississippi medical center, it just wasn’t successful which wasn’t part of the question. They extended the man’s life by 90 seconds with a chimp heart.

I love Gonis and Euphyllia. Maybe too much

My wife says it’s one of my worst character flaws, well that and I’m overly sarcastic, hateful, quick to anger, etc, etc.
Are we married to the same lady?
