The above fish are all compatible, though 65 is just borderline big enough for a kole tang, but that is a lot of fish for a 65. Not saying it won't work, but add slowly and test frequently.

I'm not entirely sure that I would add all of the fish on that list. Probably would be either the trio of anthias or the fairy & flasher wrasse. The kole tang would be last.

My concern with adding the wrasses is making sure there are enough pods for the mandarin. My concern about adding the trio of anthias is having enough swimming room, these are the only species the Live Aquaria does not say need 100+ gallons for a group.

None of the wrasses on your list pod competition for the mandarin. Fairy and flasher wrasses are planktivores that feed from the water column, not the rock work or substrate.

Anthias are out and about and active, but not in swimming through the whole tank, rather they hover in a general area amongst each other. You have enough room for a trio of the anthias species you mentioned.

There is no reason that they should be used. In fact, it is used for growing plants, so unless there is an empirical reason given, I wouldn't add it to a tank.

Then perhaps there is another name. Do you know the company that makes it?

Bacteria is necessary for proper biological filtration, but settles in the tank on it's own without us needing to add it.

Nitrozyme is the product name. These are the tablets. Need to add 1 tablet for 100 liters of water.

I can't find anything on it. If it is a bacterial additive, it should be fine, there are a few on the market, but ultimately is unnecessary as nitrifying bacteria exist everywhere and will populate your tank shortly on it's own.

I am thinking of getting a Copperband Butterfly to eat my colonies of feather dusters, they are getting out of hand. I was told a Melanurus Wrasse might but he wiped out my flatworms but is not interested in the feather dusters. I have a 125 gallon tank, mostly small fish but one One Spot Foxface is the largest. All are model citizens. I am a little worried that it might go after my lps coral. I have talked to many aquarists who have one and haven't had a problem. What do you think?

Copperbands are not an easy fish, but if you can find one that is eating, that will go a long way. Copperband butterflies don't often go after LPS, though they may pick at clams. I wouldn't worry about compatibility. A longnose butterfly is a little easier and will do the same thing.

They should be fine together in anything larger than a 20g. Midas blennies spend more time in the water column than most blennies, so there will be less conflict for territory. Adding simultaneously or as close together will also help.

Panther groupers :) great fish that gets about 20+ inches in the aquarium if given space. Not aggressive when it comes to feeding and can swallow things about 1/2 their size. Beautiful when young, they do dull out over time. I used to hand feed mine, I think they have more personality than the rest of the groupers. I had 1 in a 55 for about a year to grow it out some since he was going with a huma huma and lunare wrasse.

Love the panther. My favorite grouper. Not agressive so much as it will eat what fits in the mouth. Needs a large tank like all groupers as they get big.

Agreed. Panther groupers are often available as cute little fish, but may be one f the fastest growing fish I have ever seen. And for having such a 'pinched' head are incredibly predatory. They also produce a copious amount of waste. On the positive side, they get 'tame' very quickly, and I have never known one to be a picky eater.
