Shoot yea. But I threw it out as I was told too cause filter provided stuff is bad according to people. Does that product fitted for my filter come with the media and the bag?
This is a rare instance where they gave you something good. A benefit when the filter company is also the media company lol

Also it looks like if you buy the one that’s made for the 110 it comes with a zipper bag

Take everything out.

I have a additional thing to consider. I mentioned filter floss and it’s good but you might want filter floss pads. You can use the sponge you remove as a template and cut filter floss pad to fit

From top down

Filter floss or filter floss pad

Bag of chemi pure

Matrix for 110

I find that water constantly pouring in the same spot can make thin spots in loose filter floss and switched to this stuff.

I trim to fit with normal scissors and find it stays in place better. I put the white side up so it’s easy to see when it gets dirty. Then I just throw away and replace.

I’ll use a template and cut a bunch of this into the right shape and make a few replacements so they are ready to go.

I think I'll do this?

If after this is all done and your filter internals are replaced - if you still have leftover space - go to a saltwater fish store and buy some small cheap pieces of live rock and smash them into 1-2” pieces and fill up any gaps or space.can’t have too much live rock and this is a good spot to add some - it has constant flow and no light

Ok, sounds good should I put macro on the rocks or scrap refugium completely?

This is custom sized for a certain. magnum canister filter, cutting it might affect the product. Sounds like it’s designed to catch stuff inside and trimming would put a big hole in the side for stuff to wash out. Defeating the purpose

Skip the refugium for now.
No inside the filter. I have 10lbs of dry rock very porous and small I could break one of those up.
Those rocks sound good for the filter. Keep in mind it will take at least a week or two for them to build up surface bacteria to start helping. I would say switch to the setup we discussed, do the weekly water changes, and you should start to have good results in 2-4 weeks.

Also if you can switch to frozen mysis food, thaw some in a cup, pour in a bunch at a time in front of water current so it blows all around, your other fish will have a better chance of getting fed because the wrasse can’t go in every direction at once

Pellet food is often loaded with phosphates and might be contributing to your problems. After everyone gets food whatever is left in the cup can go in the fridge for night time or the next day

Sounds good. If I wanted to I could try the refugium later. Although onto another pressing matter. My coral beauty she has white spots spreading from her head to her body. Don't have pictures hasn't eaten in 1.5 weeks. She might die Vette Guy told me she looks constipated so i will be feeding her mysis shrimp to try and save her. I will also begin treatment with Ruby rally or copper as soon as I can get the QT tank.

Im not sure. Reviews aren't great and its a basic company. Seeing things break and also seeing things about how the skimmer just isn't good. Thank you though. I was looking into IceCap but I'm not sure if they have HOB skimmers.
Yeah like I say mine lasted for years, but when it went, I got a Reef Octopus. Which is awesome! But not in the price range you mentioned. Ice cap does make one, but I don’t know much about it.
