The thing I respect about Adam is that the prices are steep but at the same time you’re not getting a spec of coral that’s the size of a baby’s finger nail. The people I’ve seen buy the Battle boxes are getting bigger “frags” than I’ve seen anyone else selling.

Swore by it for years. Change is good though. Experiences change perception
For sure. I get it, data changes over time. That’s where my initial post was coming from. I didn’t want to go to the black hole of what’s best and worst and all that. Just if people think that kessil as we know it will change or fade away. I would venture to guess that this series will definitely affect pucks in general and that hopefully kessil comes out with new tech as opposed to fading away. Panels have been taking over for awhile now, nothing new. But I got the last nail in the coffin vibe from these

He does throw in freebies so the pricing is actually lower than one would think

I don't think kessil will change or go to a panel. Would get rid of the entire dense matrix lenses

That’s what I used to think but when I noticed they dropped the horticulture line from the site a long time ago it made me think that if they don’t sell x amount of lights that they might pull out which would suck

Yes I'm sure there is a bias. They do have to make money and so do share holders. Do I think what they are doing for the hobby is good? Yes, do they seem to have problems showing their results and testing, yes. They're a company and not even a third party company anymore.

I use and will continue to use Kessil lights because they are designed and manufactured by a leader in the lighting industry. People who know how to make quality lights.
They are not produced by a group of marketers in Pennsylvania.
Kessils do what they do and they do it well.
Phillips coral care is in this same boat. You don't see it promoted often but Phillips makes a very high quality light.

I was upfront in stating that I’m a fanboy as well but I also realize that those that already own Kessils probably aren’t enough to keep sales at target. I feel that those who haven’t purchased lighting yet, or will be upgrading, will steer away if they are swayed by the video series.

And that's a shame, but it's what happens.

Possibly. The other way to look at it is that Kessil doesn't need to sponsor every youtuber to maintain their marketshare. The products sell themselves.

There is a saying about convincing verses conveying information.
Is the person trying to convey information to you or are they trying to convince you that their information is correct?
Often the loudest person in the room is wrong, yet the majority will follow the loudest person.

"But they're showing results and data"
