i dont yet know, i bought some continous servo motors that i am yet to try. as for positioning the motor - i bought a spare colour sensor. i am planning to glue some coloured paper under reagent rack and see if i can use the sensor to sense the position of corousel..Are you going to index the carousel with a stepper motor, some kind of ratchet mechanism, or both?
I like the color sensor idea. That would alow for some self error checking/verification too. I am looking forward to what you come up with.i dont yet know, i bought some continous servo motors that i am yet to try. as for positioning the motor - i bought a spare colour sensor. i am planning to glue some coloured paper under reagent rack and see if i can use the sensor to sense the position of corousel..
I haven't yet decided - but its not the first time I am facing this problem. The cuvee needs to have flat bottom because there will be a stirrer undernearh it and the stirrer bar only works with flat bottom.Hello Dr/Mad Scientest Borat! I've been following along very closely. I was wondering what you were planning for the reaction chamber? I assume that a regular cuvee would have the difficulty to be able to fully drain/flush it. Will you instead make something custom with a drain on the bottom?
I had an idea: maybe the whole thing is mounted on a bearing + servo that can be tipped over. My girlfriend had a better idea to do something like this where there's a stopper on the bottom that can be raised to drain it. That way you don't have to worry about the "dead space" in the drain line where it might not be as thoroughly mixedI haven't yet decided - but its not the first time I am facing this problem.
