Here’s some cool SPS tanks
Not my tanks! Its Multiple different ones of ppl that inspire me lolIMO this is the pinnacle of an SPS tank! Excellent job!!!
ok cool, thanks!I don't anticipate too much chance in ca with just one frag.
Water changes may be enough for now with only one anacropora frag.well, I’ve been convinced and am going to just try out a mixed reef (just one SPS to start)move some corals around and raise my PAR near the top. I just ordered a small TNT Anacropora, updates to come…
I have never really need d to does Ca that often, I assume that may change with SPS, even just one?
I’d rather do the opposite… I much prefer LPS and Softies! The SPS dominant/only systems are just not worth the effort to keep them running.I’ve always loved the movement that LPS and some softies provide, post some pics of your SPS dominant tank or just some of your favorite SPS. I want to be convinced to start an SPS dominant tank next!
Here’s a short of my current 40g. softies, LPS, and 2 nems. - don’t mind the nuisance algae-it’s being worked on lol
just get a reallllyyy big tank. and put all those acros at top. and have all the euphyllia at bottom. best of bothIt just depends on what you like. I am actually in the process of switching from a very successful SPS tank to a full Euphyllia tank strictly to do something different.
I had a couple of issues going that route......one the acros blocked out ALL light lol. The areas that LPS would go was getting less than 50 par. Secondly I had two Nero 7s sitting on the bottom to push detritus up into the overflow. They would have gotten blown apart. So they would have incorrect flow and lightingjust get a reallllyyy big tank. and put all those acros at top. and have all the euphyllia at bottom. best of both

Yeah, you are a little too far away unfortunately......although Gainesville is probably cooler than Ohio right now....might be worth the trip lol.Amazing tank; don’t switch. I need you to come up to Gainesville and help fix my reef tanks. I like SPS a lot, but the last few years it’s not liking me
I thought you were somewhere north of Tampa. Sorry about thatYeah, you are a little too far away unfortunately......although Gainesville is probably cooler than Ohio right now....might be worth the trip lol.
I wish lolI thought you were somewhere north of Tampa. Sorry about that
