How do we know it’s the drops that killed it and not something like lack of flow, food, or build up of toxins?I’m pretty sure it’s dead now at 20 drops
Would have been nice to get some samples out from Alan's tank...Doubt it's lack of food for just a half day or so nor would I think any toxins built up from one worm. Don't know if they need any flow. But yes...I'm all for as much info as possible! The newer aefw is quite the formidable foe as well.
If there’s any toxins, the lack of flow would keep it very concentrated near the worm.would I think any toxins built up from one worm.
True...didn't consider that.If there’s any toxins, the lack of flow would keep it very concentrated near the worm.
I think a control would be best, but trying the experiment again with 20 drops and seeing how quick the worm will die can also help a lot.
I know it was the drops bc I’ve seen these survive in a container for days after being dipped with kcl or reef primer. I’ve seen them survive for days in 200mls of water after being sprayed every 5 minutes for 30 minutes with Bill Morgan’s method. How do we know it’s the drops that killed it and not something like lack of flow, food, or build up of toxins?
I’d like to see a side by side comparison of one container with nothing added and one with 20 drops added.
That was my next trial if I can find and catch another one.How do we know it’s the drops that killed it and not something like lack of flow, food, or build up of toxins?

Ah. That’s good to know! Thank you.I know it was the drops bc I’ve seen these survive in a container for days after being dipped with kcl or reef primer. I’ve seen them survive for days in 200mls of water after being sprayed every 5 minutes for 30 minutes with Bill Morgan’s method.
I mean....how could you...awesome.Off topic but she looks so happy today I couldn’t resist.
Reef Central, would be a good read if you can find. If I remember right, the tanks crashed some time after the treatment. Think all is clear and then ....I remember some people doing some pretty extensive experiments with levamisole on aefw as an in tank treatment maybe back in like 2009-2010-ish, and it didn’t go well unfortunately.
I think literally all the people that went for it to ended up crashing their tanks.
I want to say say it was on here and not Reef Central. I’ll see if I can dig them up. There’s probably some good info in there regardless.
