8 foot 270 gallon tank
Have had many of these together for 8 years or more.
Rock is all solomon island branch rock and is kept about 12” below the water line for more swimming room and it’s an inwall with viewing from both sides so there is room on the sides to swim as well.

They really like the 8’ tank and love to play in the MP 60s when the schedule runs them at 100%
It’s fun to watch them take turns getting blown across the tank. They swim back and do it over and over.

Blonde streamer naso
Purple
Yellow
Hippo
Chocolate
White tail
Achilles
Red sea sailfin
Magnificent foxface
Green chromis
Gobies
clown fish
butt hat lightning maroon clown..bites me every time i put my hands in the tank.

This is some pics of them getting their daily nori sheet.
They all eat the fish frenzy food as well.

Wow that's really pushing it. Especially when that emperor gets big.

Lol my tangs dont do that with the powerheads but my little porcupine puffer does that! He sees them swimming and goes in the powerhead to give him a good boost to swim with them!

A Tomini Tang, a Biota Yellow Tang and a Mimic Tang in my 210. The Mimic Tang is a wonderful fish by the way. Stays relatively small, very peaceful and not an especially active fish. Not adding any additional tangs.

I would absolutely not put 9 tangs (especially the larger ones) in a 125. Just the Hippo Tang in a 125 seems crazy. Hippo Tangs grow very fast and can approach a foot in length. The fish will struggle to even turn around.

I had 2, Yellow Tang (back when they cost £50..) and a Regal. My tank was 5ft - 500+ litres.

I've always wanted a powder blue, but my new tank is too small. Powder blue are my favourite.
