You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Well I couldn’t find it yesterday evening but happily she’s out and about again this morning. Looks healthy but I wonder how long it will be before I can try it in the main tank. It’s just too small even for my acclimation box.

Uggh
Just about to go to bed and find I somehow knocked the ato pipe out of the tank and it is flooding my floors. Luckily only a couple gallons but still.
Some definitely got under the boards…

Oh no! How can we prevent this from happening in the future? What type of pipe setup is this?

Just a simple rubber pipe that snakes over the back of the sump.
Mopped up as much as I can and got a few fans going. Not going to worry about it tonight anymore.

Evaporation is your friend. I hope you have a good rest. I’m dozing off right now myself.

Got some new corals.
A second acropora frag as my first is going so well (new one on the right)

A yellow octospawn which should do well to contrast all the green and red corals:

And some cheap and boring mushrooms for the eel tank:

Back home again. I’ve been traveling every week for work since getting back from Maui and I’m getting a bit burned out and have been neglecting my tanks a bit. Luckily they seem to have hit a happy stability and everything actually seems to be doing well despite my negligence.

Well except the clam which keeps getting knocked over…

Use epoxy to make a guard for it.

This new clam fell to the left, so I made a wall out of epoxy. You can see the pink epoxy beside the clam.

Here are more of my epoxy walls. I put a red arrow and a green dot on the epoxy.

Thank you!! In lieu of tangs I use big snails and urchins so things get knocked off a lot.

Urchins are a PITA. I had to remove mine because they kept knocking off my acropora frags.

I really like your epoxy walls! Much better than my epoxy cradles. I thought my crocea didn't like the epoxy cradles, maybe because the surface is so different from live rock, but it stopped moving when I found a corner between two pieces of live rock and happily stuck its byssal threads onto the live rock. Epoxy walls seems like a good way to keep them in place on a flatter section of rocks.

My little lunare wrasse loves an urchin and I’m shocked how it can kill an urchin the same size as it. But that’s in my other tank

Is the lunar wrasse in the same tank as that demon dragon wrasse?
