I used MicroBacter7 with the DIY KZ Coral Snow. It worked good and I didn't notice any irritated corals or fishes. It seemed like it dropped my alk somewhat though. This cyano is getting me down and it just is not going away also I'm pretty sure it is what is smothering my macroalgae. I'm thinking GFO and bacteria like Microbacter7 has anyone used a bacterial solution. Is there any risk?
Maybe something in here will help? This cyano is getting me down and it just is not going away also I'm pretty sure it is what is smothering my macroalgae. I'm thinking GFO and bacteria like Microbacter7 has anyone used a bacterial solution. Is there any risk?
Lepto? As for the mystery coral it may have been a mistake but here it is!![]()
Mine didn't drop that drastically. I think mine went from 8.6 to 7.7 over the course of 3 treatments and 2 weeks.Well I’m not sure if it’s because I’m using new reagent or if you were just right @tbrown3589 but my alkalinity had apparently fallen from 12.1 to 7.3 in a couple days which is worrying. However phosphate is down to 0.03 which is good but maybe I should not have gone so nuclear?
Must be the new reagent then. Does anyone ever trust their test results?? Retested and got 6.9. My other reagent was only a month past expiration…Mine didn't drop that drastically. I think mine went from 8.6 to 7.7 over the course of 3 treatments and 2 weeks.
I usually double check alk when it wavers. I'll run a Hanna test and if it looks good compared to recent tests I trust it. If not, I rerun and then double check with Salifert.Must be the new reagent then. Does anyone ever trust their test results??
I like the little RFA.So guess what I’m out of town again but took photos of the new corals before leaving.View attachment 3144719View attachment 3144720
