Well my wish list has gotten unexpectedly longer…..View attachment 3126653
What model? And did you push the screen to far back?

Depending on model, it is an easy fix. There is a small ribbon cable that tears if pushed too far back. Easy to replace if that is what it is.

So it is broken? :frowning-face: Dang, sorry. I thought you just had something weird on the screen.

Thanks I’ll check that when I get home and can get the right screwdriver.

A2159 ?? It seemed to happen randomly I just opened it and it was like that.

Did it update recently? Possibly wrong display driver, as well.

If you can try and external monitor to see if the screen is fine on it, that will narrow it down or at least allow some easy troubleshooting.

Heading home today!

Hopefully everything is good. I had to get a new tank sitter as my usual one went with me to England.

If everything is looking good I will be getting an order from biota. A couple hammers and maybe a toadstool and/or another CJ goby.

Why don’t you get some Chalk Bass instead of another Court Jester?

It’s not a bad idea. But that’s a lot more fish in a heavily stocked tank. Really though I think maybe not. IDK. I worry about the size of Biota fish. Maybe I’ll just get the corals. There also some great gonis too.

@Miami Reef let me show you the definition of dirty. After two weeks away my tank surfaces are absolutely disgusting!!

I think I already said but my first port of call is a new scraper.

Update time and well, nothings really changed. I’ve massively increased flow from the sump. It was the only thing I could find about why my HOB overflow was failing. It’s scary but so far so good.

As for fish and corals everything looks great. My cats paws is really growing now!

Also the right side of my tank is really looking fully grown and full which is exciting:

Few things:
  1. Got 3 corals from biota. 2 hammers to complete my garden and a surprise!
  2. Front glass is now clean and thoroughly scrubbed. Need to do right side and maybe left. This algae is such a pain and has required a sharp razor to defeat.
  3. Cyano is still strong. obviously my KPS powerheads both broke while I was gone (awful purchase, really bad product btw). Hopefully my overall increase in flow will help fight this battle. Weird thing is none of my corals seem bothered by it like they were previously.
  4. As my computer is on the fritz all my cannon photos including ones of the new dragon are stuck on the camera sadly. Hoping the repair shop gets the part in today.

Test results:
12.1 DkH
Phosphate 0.23
Nitrates very low
Mg 1260
Ca 430

I tested pH with strips before reconnecting the Refugium. It was like 7.5 in the DT and 8.5 in the Refugium. I think all my corals are fine but I do have two closed up right now. The Duncan and the goniopora.

You should replace (for the mag) the 2 with a 5;)

Changed some things up. Bad photos though.
IMG_6393.jpeg

  • Moved the big coral skeleton to the middle of the tank and then attached the jack'o lantern lepto to it. Hopefully the extra light will help it grow as it was getting almost none before.
  • Removed the pipe organ from its rock and put it on the rock below. Unfortunately the base fell off and I think I may have damaged the coral somewhat as well as it no longer has a good connection to the rock. Pipe organs are so incredibly brittle!
  • I've started fragging the loose zoa polyps that keep floating around my tank. which you can see in the last photo though you may also notice a rogue polyp also in that photo
  • Unfortunately the goniopora has still not fully emerged. I'm quite worried about it.
