Has for the mulm, I can agree to it. When scuba diving in panama the floor was covered with what looked exactly the stuff in my sump. So to a degree it shouldn't be to bad. I also can't pinpoint which video I watched, but a coral farm with acros had a sump filled to the brim with detritus and he said that it didn't have an effect on the corals. Cool stuff.

Arriving tomorrow: rainbow aleveopoa, goniopora, and a bunch of sticks

Needed room for sps frags to mount permanently and have room for encrusting and growth

Picked up this 12 frag peninsula branch from AquaRocksDesigns and mounted it in a spot that is unubstructed and has direct path to the lighting. I like that the peninsula puts the frags towards the middle of the water column, instead of right up on the glass. And almost every frag spot points vertical or nearly vertical, instead of funky angles. The coating on the branch photographs…weird. It doesn’t look like this in person. Camera is doing funky stuff, I need to figure out a better lens/lighting combo…promise. It’s not like this in person lol

And some updated tank/coral shots. It’s late so the torches are closing up but I included them anyway

Also ordered a kh guardian pro - it will auto test my alk 6x a day, and auto dose alk solution as needed to maintain stability. Don’t know when this is arriving or how long it will take to implement. But I’m looking forward to its arrival

It’s a weird material. It’s almost buoyant in the water. Outside it felt heavy, and I was thinking that magnets won’t hold this up. Then I put it in the water and it doesn’t float, but it doesn’t sink like a rock either. It almost felt…neutral in the water.

The magnets do a solid job of holding it due to this property. I would get more in the future

I have heard elite removes more nutrients than blue. Have you ever tried switching?

I am thinking of switching to elite from blue because of my high nutrients.

Is the effect too minimal to matter?

I never used blue, I’ve used regular chemipure for years and then switched to elite which includes GFO and will bind phosphates. Chemipure blue has no impact on phosphates

New frag shelf peninsula is ready to go, up high for good par, and roughly center to have random strong flow from the mp10/40 combo with no obstructions.
I must admit I’m looking forward to getting some sps in the system. And my kh guardian pro arrived today and I look forward to setting it up. Need a few odds and ends that it didn’t come with that I need to obtain. it will monitor and automate alkalinity, and monitor ph, orp, and temp

Power Bricks and pump controllers need to become wall mounted. Cables rerouted. It’s the only way to fit the device and dosing containers. Need to free up in cabinet floor space. Then there’s this device itself. Programming, calibrating, testing, etc. I don’t look forward to anything ahead except the end result

Can you help me with my salinity? It keeps going up! I keep my ato filled with 1.026sw, just double checked. But my tank keeps going up and up and I don’t know why! What do I do!!!!!!
