Can you help me with my salinity? It keeps going up! I keep my ato filled with 1.026sw, just double checked. But my tank keeps going up and up and I don’t know why! What do I do!!!!!!

you should keep it at 1.05. that will bring it down. It's the same principle as quoted by Mary or Pippin to Treebeard: "the closer we are to danger, the safer we are."

Very similar to ss24k, good buy $$$, incredible color.

Replaced neon frag racks with one that matched existing

Kh Guardian is hooked up and online

Added some Cynarina

Tank looking great

And then, yesterday noticed the new torch of gods has bjd. Completely random. All other torches fine.

Cleaned yesterday and dipped with hydrogen peroxide and lugols

No improvement today. Bjd returning. It’s in kfc dip now. Here are some kfc dip shots over the last few hours. Wild stuff

Only had it a week. Possible stress from shipping and then adjusting to a new tank, flow, lighting. Some torches can be sensitive shippers

That a bummer. I had a frogspawn bring it in to my tank. So far hammers, duncan, elegance are ok torches took a beating lost quite a few.

Nope! Funny I was just rereading this thread today start to finish and noticed I used to run 7’s and that stood out to me

Ive increased my parameters over the last 3 months

Phosphate - .38ish
Nitrate 6.5
Alk - ran in the 8’s for a while, and now am steady at 8.75 with an alk controller
Will be increasing to 9 soon just don’t want to make too many changes too fast

Low alk works well with low nutrients so I suspect that’s why I did well with alk in the 7’s…I was running near zero phosphates and nitrates 1-2

Now that I’ve bumped up nitrate and phosphate, alk should be increased…and I will be testing out 9dkh and seeing how that goes.

Still no water changes

Vintage , sorry to see that with the torch. It looks like it was a pretty nice one before it got jellied. I had a near total wipeout of my existant torches in mid spring. Lost 10 out of 12 torches. Finally back up to 11.
Beautiful tank as always.
